Knotted Bracelet Featuring Trinkettes

In the Fundamentals of Knotting, students learn how to make a couple of knots with hemp and how to add beads to knotwork. In class, you will create a beaded hemp bracelet using basic knotting techniques.

Colored Hemp with Trinkettes Beads

Typically, knotted bracelets are made with tan-colored hemp and natural materials such as wood and shell beads, which make them great projects for younger beaders and guys looking to make more masculine jewelry. Recently, I have been experimenting with black and colored hemp and glass beads and am enjoying the results! Michaels’ line of Trinkettes beads work especially well due to their large holes.
